About mooha
See less.
Keep more.
Most tools today are built to hold you longer. Lists grow, notifications multiply, and the day scatters. mooha goes the other way. We make apps and objects that help you do less, so what matters remains.
What we want
A day with a direction
Three things for today, the person you want to be above, a daily stroke below. Small days lead to one big thing.
Time left, held dear
Memento mori: remember the end. See sixty visits left with Mom, and you plan the next one.
Just this one
Twenty-five minutes for one thing, in your Mac’s notch. Let the rest wait.
What we value
Frugal, not shabby. Refined, not showy.
An old Korean line, 검이불루 화이불치. Whether it is an app or an object, we decide by it.
No more than three
Three tasks. Hide a button if it can be hidden. Decide what not to build first.
Black, white, one color
A drop of color on paper. Type leads, not ornament or gradients.
Made to last
Shapes that ignore trends, things you can repair, records still there a year later.
We take nothing
No accounts, no servers, no tracking. What you write is yours alone.
Colors
On screen and in hand,
the colors share one name.
mooha inks are muted, like fountain-pen inks. Each app picks its own color from among them.
The names are Korean words for colors found in nature and everyday life — gam is a ripe persimmon, meok is the ink stick used for calligraphy.
Five base colors

The site and the apps are built on these five: ink on hanji paper, with pine, bamboo and ash in between.
